1. Choose the right test!
expand_moreYou can browse our Test catalogue and choose the right test for your patient. Our Medical Geneticists can assist you in selecting the appropriate test based on your patient´s clinical diagnosis.
If you are a patient, please consult with your doctor. Our genetic tests can be prescribed only by qualified healthcare professionals.
2. Complete and sign the Test Requisition Form
expand_moreEach diagnostic test has an order form that can be downloaded from its webpage or under Resources. The form, along with the consent to process the sample and data, must be completed in full by the prescribing Healthcare Professional and signed by both the Healthcare Professional and the patient. A sample cannot be analysed if it´s not accompanied by a signed informed consent form.
3. Sample requirements and collection instructions
expand_moreMost of our tests are performed on whole blood. For specific types of tests, there are different requirements that can be found on the test´s webpage. The sample should be labelled and stored according to requirements.
4. Send the Sample to Unilabs Genetics
expand_moreBlood samples should be sent as soon as possible following collection using expedited courier service at room temperature.

5. Receive the test report
expand_moreYou will be notified by email as soon as the results are ready. The comprehensive Medical Report can be viewed online or downloaded as a PDF through the Unilabs online portal.
The results can only be communicated to the prescribing healthcare professional and not to the patient directly.

6. Request genetic counselling
